AceShowbiz - Blessed with good looks, Eiza Gonzalez blamed her physical appearance for missing out on movie roles. The actress claimed in a magazine interview that she was told "too pretty" for "so many projects," but many social media users disagreed with her.

In a new interview with InStyle which was published on Monday, March 18, the 34-year-old said, "I remember being [told for] so many projects, 'She's too pretty for the role. She's too hot for the role.' " She added, "Then I'd just be like, 'What is Margot Robbie? She's the hottest, most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life!' "

Even though she doesn't believe any of this is really about her, the Mexican beauty admitted, "I had an identity crisis for a very long time." She confided to the publication, "I was like, 'Do I shave my head? Do I make myself less attractive? Do I make myself more attractive? Do I not dress super-hot or do I dress super-hot or do I cover myself all the time?' "

Learning of Gonzalez's claims in the interview, many took to social media to roast the actress. "She can't act her way out of a paper sack!" one said of the alleged reason why the "Godzilla vs. Kong" star didn't get the roles.

Agreeing, another said, "Naw she just stinks at acting." A third remarked, "Damn, just like act better...." Someone else added, "I have another idea why she didn't get roles." A fifth sarcastically said, "Yeah I'm sure that's the reason," while another mocked her as writing, "Glad she thinks so much about herself."

Others pointed out that Margot Robbie and Scarlett Johansson's careers seemed to be thriving despite their good looks. Another had trouble believing that Gonzalez's hotness was the reason for her missing out on roles, speculating, "That probably never happened." Someone else pointed out that she also probably "got a bunch of roles because she's pretty," not in spite of it.

Despite her struggles to land movie roles, Gonzalez has starred in a number of films such as "Baby Driver", "Alita: Battle Angel", "Bloodshot" and "Ambulance".
