The seven-time Super Bowl champion and the Brazilian supermodel are also reportedly on 'cordial terms' despite his decision to keep playing contributing to their divorce last year.

AceShowbiz - Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are apparently still supporting each other despite ending their 13-year marriage. If a new report is to be believed, the former NFL star has been leaning on his ex-wife after his retirement announcement.

Us Weekly reported on Wednesday, February 8 that the Brazilian supermodel has been a "real rock" for the seven-time Super Bowl champion. A source also told the site that the former couple is on "cordial terms," adding that they "talked this through before he came to the final decision."

The insider also dished that Tom is "so grateful to everyone in his life for the support they've shown," pointing out that his retirement video explicitly outlined what a "blessing" his career had been. "He couldn't have achieved a fraction of his success without his family, friends and supporters," the source shared.

More recently, Tom said that he's "excited" to explore "other parts of life" following his NFL exit. In the Monday, February 6 episode of his "Let's Go!" podcast on SiriusXM, he shared, "I look forward to exploring a lot of other parts of life that have been put aside for a time being." He added, "I'll feel some different things, I'm sure, as things go along, but you know, I'm doing great."

Tom went on to add that he is "in a great space" and "excited for what's ahead." The former quarterback elaborated, "My friend says the future happens a day at a time, and I think with any great chapter that ends, there's another great opportunity ahead."

Tom, who has son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10, with his ex-wife Gisele as well as son John, 15, with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, told the world last week that he's retiring from the NFL "for good."

The 45-year-old sports star previously announced plans last year to quit playing but changed his mind 40 days later and agreed to play another season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That decision reportedly caused massive friction between him and Gisele, leading to the eventual end of their marriage.

More details regarding Tom and Gisele's divorce after 13-year marriage seemingly will arrive soon. The Brazilian supermodel is reportedly planning to talk about the split in a forthcoming Vanity Fair cover story.
