AceShowbiz - Tom Brady transitioned smoothly into his role as a Fox Sports commentator during the 2025 Super Bowl featuring the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles. The former quarterback took the opportunity during the Sunday game to hit back at Kevin Hart for his fiery roast during the Netflix special "The Roast of Tom Brady" in May 2024.
As the game was being aired and the comedian was shown on camera, Brady, 47, quipped, "Kevin Hart's here? How do the cameras find Kevin Hart?" in an apparent jab at the funnyman's height of 5-foot-5.
His fellow commentator Kevin Burkhardt playing along, responded, "Well, it depends on the day, I guess," followed by laughter. Brady made sure to clarify his love for Hart by saying, "Kevin, I love you. You took so many shots at me in May. I'm coming right back at you."
Hart's roast in 2024 had been ruthless, with jokes targeting Brady's personal life, particularly his divorce from Gisele Bundchen and her rumored relationship with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente. Hart's relentless roasting included zingers about Brady's status as one of the smartest quarterbacks who failed to see the signals in his strained marriage.
Reflecting on the roast, Brady admitted he regretted partaking because of the impact it had on his children. On "The Pivot" podcast, he noted, "The bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize, 'I wouldn't do that again,' because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world."
Hart, recognizing Brady's protective instincts, told Bleacher Report, "I can see where [Brady's] coming from" and noted the necessity of pushing the boundaries of comedy in today's sensitive climate.
Despite Brady's regrets, both men managed to keep their friendship intact. As Brady continues to settle into his broadcasting career, his ability to mix serious commentary with moments of levity like this hints at a promising future behind the mic.
