The 'Lip Sync Battle' star initially planned to accompany husband John Legend to Music's Biggest Night but she cancelled it at the last minute to be with her baby.

AceShowbiz - Chrissy Teigen ditched the Grammy Awards at the last minute so she could stay home with her new baby daughter. The 37-year-old model gave birth to little girl Esti on January 13 and had been preparing to return to the spotlight to walk the red carpet at the awards show in Los Angeles on Sunday night, February 5 to support her singer husband John Legend but ducked out at the last minute.

"Happy Grammy day!! Had a dress fitting, looked around and realised … What the hell am I trying to prove here. I cannot get up lol," Chrissy revealed she decided to stay home with the kids instead. She uploaded a picture of herself holding Esti on Instagram.

John was nominated for three awards and also performed during the show, and his wife revealed she was cheering him on from home. In a message posted on her Instagram Stories, she explained, "No Grammys for me tonight but cheering on @johnlegend's 3 noms and performance!"

John didn't win any of the awards he was nominated for, but he was applauded for his closing performance of "God Did" alongside DJ Khaled, Fridayy, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z.

The couple are also parents to daughter Luna, sis, and son Miles, four, and Chrissy announced their new baby's birth with a sweet picture of the siblings holding their new sister. In a post on Instagram, she wrote, "She's here! Esti Maxine Stephens - the house is bustling and our family could not be happier ..."

"Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes - we feel it all!"
