According to a source, 'Miley wants to do some emotional healing and had hoped she and Liam could find a way to be friends again' but 'The Hunger Games' actor refuses to take her call.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus' marriage to Liam Hemsworth might have ended, but it doesn't mean she doesn't want to be friends with him. If a new report is to be believed, the "We Can't Stop" hitmaker tried to reach out to her ex-husband several times, but unfortunately she got "snubbed" instead.

Revealing the news was RadarOnline.com. A source additionally told the outlet, "Miley wants to do some emotional healing and had hoped she and Liam could find a way to be friends again... But Liam won't even return her calls and has let her know through others he doesn't want any contact with her."

Miley herself reportedly bought an $8 million mansion in Malibu where her former spouse often hangs out. "I think Liam's worst fear now... is running into Miley at the grocery store!" said the source.

Miley and Liam were first linked in 2008 after they both starred in the film "The Last Song". The then-couple later got engaged in 2012, only to break up the following year. They, however, managed to rekindle their romance in 2015 and eventually get married in December 2018.

Unfortunately, their marriage didn't last for more than a year as she was photographed kissing Brody Jenner's ex Kaitlynn Carter. "Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers," a rep for Miley revealed to PEOPLE at the time.

Miley's whirlwind romance with Kaitlynn only lasted for a month. She was later romantically linked to Australian singer Cody Simpson for ten months. Of their brief relationship, Cody said that it was "just one of those phases…everything ended fairly amicably." He added, "I'd known her for a long time at that point. We went from kind of being good friends to just having a lot of the same friends, to being together for a while."
