AceShowbiz - A new sneak peek of "Thor: Love and Thunder" has been made available for viewing pleasure to hype up the upcoming release of one of the most anticipated movies this year. Courtesy of Marvel Entertainment, the new trailer offers a bunch of never-before-seen footage.

The video offers a look at a hilarious sequence where Chris Hemsworth's Thor delivers a speech to Asgardians. "Asgard! See what's happening here. You're afraid. I'm scared. Anxious. My friends, times like this we need to unite. Come together…," he says, before he stops because he gets distracted by the noise created by Miek dry-erasing board.

The trailer also gives more chilling looks at Christian Bale's villainous character, Gorr the God Butcher. True to his name, he declares his plans to banish all gods. "This is my vow. All gods will die," he says, before he's seen coming face-to-face with the titular character in a battle.

Another shot shows a new location which appears to be Omnipotence City.

"Thor: Love and Thunder" finds Thor on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced - a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who - to Thor's surprise - inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher's vengeance and stop him before it's too late.

Director Taika Waititi, who also reprises his role as Korg, recently talked about Thor's reunion with his ex Jane. "It's been about eight years," he told Empire Magazine. "She's had a whole other life, and then the love of your life comes back on the scene, and is now dressed like you. It's a real mindf**k for Thor."

He continued sharing, "I didn't know we were going to use the storyline of the Mighty Thor character until we started working out the actual story. I was writing and it was like, 'Wouldn't it be kind of cool to bring Jane back into the storyline?' You don't want Natalie coming back and playing that same character who's walking around with science equipment. You know, while Thor's flying around, she's left on Earth, tapping her foot going, 'When's he going to be back?' That's boring. You want her to be part of the adventure."

Also starring Russell Crowe as Zeus and bringing together some of "Guardians of the Galaxy" stars, including Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper, "Thor: Love and Thunder" is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 8.
