AceShowbiz - Britney Spears has candidly spoken out about her past relationship with Kevin Federline. In a since-deleted social media post, the "Oops!...I Did It Again" hitmaker revealed that she once was urged to divorce her ex-husband when she was pregnant with his baby.
Turning to her Instagram page on Thursday, April 21, the pop star wrote a lengthy note that read, "I was mean as hell… it was beyond me… I think the thing that made people so uncomfortable was the fact I was unbelievably SILENT." She went on sharing, "But geez my ex-husband wouldn't see me when I flew to New York with a baby inside me and Las Vegas when he was shooting a video!!!"
"PLAYED IT OFF TALKING AND EATING ICE ALL NIGHT !!!" Britney added. "I swear I like huge pickles and biting down an ice literally every day !!! I was so weird … as the ice hit my tongue I got a text saying, 'If you don't divorce Kevin he will publicly do it to you.' "
Britney said that she "already knew it was over" as she "hadn't seen him in a while" at the time. "I had my baby and went out literally 2 times with [Paris Hilton] and it was all over the news like I was a party girl," the 40-year-old singer/songwriter recalled. "Whatever, it's over now and I've made peace with it."
The bombshell revelation came in the wake of her pregnancy with Sam Asghari's baby. Upon learning that the "Toxic" hitmaker is expecting another baby, Kevin said he "wishes the best" for her pregnancy.
Speaking on behalf of the former backup dancer was his attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan. The lawyer told NBC News, "He wishes her the best for a happy, healthy pregnancy and congratulates her and Sam Asghari as they plan for the excitement of parenthood together."
Kevin and Britney were married in 2004 before calling it quits in 2007. The former spouses share two sons together, 16-year-old Sean Preston and 15-year-old Jayden James. They currently have a 70-30 custody agreement in his favor.
Britney went public with her pregnancy on April 11. "I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back. I thought, 'Geez … what happened to my stomach ???' My husband said, 'No you're food pregnant silly !!!' " she wrote in an Instagram post. "So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby."
