This isn't the first time the free-agent QB has landed in hot water over his sexist comment as he previously said it's 'funny' to hear a female reporter ask a question about a receiver running routes.

AceShowbiz - Cam Newton has caught heat over his views on women. The 2015 league MVP has been viciously ripped after complaining about women who "can't cook'' and "don't know when to be quiet."

During an appearance on the "Million Dollaz Worth of Game" podcast, the NFL player, who is now a free agent, shared his two cents on "what a woman should be." Suggesting there are different types of women, he began sharing his take, "There's a lot of women who are bad b***hes. And I say 'b***hes' in a way, not to degrade a woman, but just to go off the aesthetic of what they deem is a 'boss chick.' "

"Now a woman, for me, is handling your own but knowing how to cater to a man's needs. Right?" the 32-year-old said, adding that a "bad b***h" is not something that women should strive for. "And I think a lot of times when you get that aesthetic of like, 'I'm a boss b***h, I'm this, I'm that.' "

"No, baby! But you can't cook. You don't know when to be quiet. You don't know how to allow a man to lead," Cam went on mocking them.

Cam was soon slammed over his sexist views. "Based on this, I'd argue Cam's the one who doesn't know when to be quiet," Nicole Auerbach, a senior writer for The Athletic, wrote in response to the athlete's interview.

"If you can't take care of yourself just say that," another commented on the video uploaded by Hollywood Unlocked. Sports reporter Alexa Ross also tweeted, "The same man who laughed at a female reporter for a valid question said something misogynistic? I, for one, am shocked."

This isn't the first time Cam has been under fire for his sexist comment. In 2017, while he was the starting quarterback for the Carolina Panthers, he called it "funny'' to hear a female reporter ask a question about a receiver running routes.

"It's funny to hear a female talk about routes," he said in response to a question from then-Charlotte Observer reporter Jourdan Rodrigue. "It's funny."

Responding to his remark, the league said in a statement, "The comments are just plain wrong and disrespectful to the exceptional female reporters and all journalists. They do not reflect the thinking of the league."

Cam later apologized for his comment, "After careful thought, I understand that my word choice was extremely degrading and disrespectful to women. To be honest, that was not my intentions. And if you are a person who took offense to what I said, I sincerely apologize to you."
