In a new interview, Kenny Rock also says that he wants the 'King Richard' star banned from attending future Oscars as he doesn't think that Will's apology is genuine.

AceShowbiz - Chris Rock's other brother has weighed in on the Oscars drama during which Will Smith smacked the comedian across the face onstage. In a new interview, Kenny Rock says that the actor should be stripped off his Best Actor award for his performance in "King Richard" following the slap.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Kenny says he would like the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to take disciplinary action against Will, including taking away his Oscar. He also expresses his wish that the organization bans him from attending future Oscars.

"It eats at me watching it over and over again because you've seen a loved one being attacked and there's nothing you can do about it," Kenny says of watching the incident on social media. "Every time I'm watching the videos, it's like a rendition that just keeps going over and over in my head. My brother was no threat to him and you just had no respect for him at that moment. You just belittled him in front of millions of people that watch the show."

Defending Chris, Kenny says, "The joke was funny." He does not believe that his brother was aware that Jada Pinkett Smith had alopecia, arguing, "It wasn't hilarious funny, but I know that if he knew that she had alopecia ... he wouldn't make a joke about that. But he didn't know."

Kenny says he could have forgiven Will had he done it differently when delivering his speech for his Best Actor award. "I might have looked at it differently had he initially apologized when he got on the stage and cried and accepted the award, but he didn't, so, right there that tells me that it is something else," he claims.

While Will has publicly apologized to Chris and the Academy, the 41-year-old says he did not accept it. "No, I don't accept it because I don't think it was genuine," Kenny claims. "I think his publicist and the people that work under him probably advised him to do that."

Meanwhile, a source has just revealed that Chris cannot forgive Will. "He can't imagine forgiving Will, being friends with him. It is just a very weird thing to fully envelope," the source allegedly close to the comedian tells HollywoodLife.

While it's not something that the public will easily forget, "Chris Rock doesn't want the Will Smith slap to define him and the rest of his career. It sucks that it is now part of his life forever," according to the source.

"He doesn't know when he will talk about it, he knows he will have to at some point, but he literally is focusing on his tour and for the dust to fully settle," the source adds. "It is still raw, emotional, and confusing to deal with and wrap his head around."

Prior to Kenny, Chris' other brother Tony Rock has also given his two cents on the drama. During his weekly Q&A session on Twitter in late March, he said he did not accept Will's apology.

In the wake of the incident, Will resigned from the Academy. "Change takes time and I am committed to doing the work to ensure that I never again allow violence to overtake reason. I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work," he wrote in a letter on April 1. "I am heartbroken."

He added, "I want to put the focus back on those who deserve attention for their achievements and allow the Academy to get back to the incredible work it does to support creativity and artistry in film. So, I am resigning from membership in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and will accept any further consequences the Board deems appropriate."

The A.M.P.A.S President David Rubin accepted the resignation in an official statement but said that they would continue their investigation.

As Will continues to deal with the repercussion of the matter, it has been reported that his agency considered dropping him. According to the Daily Beast, the Creative Artists Agency's Bryan Lourd, Richard Lovett and Kevin Huvane were debating about whether they should cut ties with the actor. In the end, they reportedly decided to keep the 53-year-old star.

However, a CAA spokesperson insisted that "there is no truth" to the report. The spokesperson claimed such discussion on the matter "simply never happened."
