The 'Do You Want to Build a Snowman?' singer makes use of her social media accounts to express her excitement for being tapped to belt out the patriotic tune at the upcoming big event.

AceShowbiz - Super Bowl LVI has announced the singer who will be performing the national anthem at the 2022 Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium. On Tuesday, February 1, it was revealed that singer Mickey Guyton is the one who is given the honorary gig.

"Our Super Bowl LVI pregame lineup! Be sure to tune in early to catch all the action at #SBLVI," so NFL announced on its official Instagram account. The "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" singer, meanwhile, expressed her excitement on her social media accounts.

"Look at God. I am shook, I am grateful, I am praise dancing...," Mickey wrote on the blue bird app. The the Texas-born country star continued, "So excited to be singing the national anthem at #SBLVI on February 13th."

The 38-year-old "Black Like Me" singer will be accompanied by other talents in the pregame ceremonies. Also performing the pregame ceremonies are R&B singer and Grammy nominee Jhene Aiko and gospel act Mary Mary. Jhene is set to perform "America the Beautiful", with Mary Mary performing "Lift Every Voice and Sing" while being accompanied by the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles. DJ Zedd will serve as the official pregame emcee.

Notable singers previously kicked off the game and that included the likes of Demi Lovato, Mariah Carey, Beyonce Knowles, Lady GaGa and Whitney Houston. At the 2021 Super Bowl, country star Eric Church and R&B diva Jazmine Sullivan belted out the patriotic tune.

The Super Bowl LVI will be held on February at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California with the Los Angeles Rams playing the Cincinnati Bengals.
