AceShowbiz - Billy Bob Thornton's son has weighed in on the latest celebrity couple who just got engaged, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. In a new interview, Harry James Thornton playfully dubbed the soon-to-be-married couple "copycats" of his dad and his former stepmom Angelina Jolie.
Speaking to Page Six on Wednesday, January 19, the "Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules" star said with a laugh, "Ah, they're copycats!" referring to MGK's vial jewelry that contains Megan's blood. The 27-year-old actor went on recalling Billy Bob and Angelina's infamous blood vial accessories, "I just thought it was a necklace."
"Now … I think it's gross to have someone's DNA wrapped around your neck all day. It's definitely interesting," Harry continued. He also admitted that he's amused by the "Bloody Valentine" hitmaker and the "Transformers" actress paying homage to Billy Bob and Angelina. He went on to say that his father has "set trends," adding, "I think that's awesome. I can appreciate that."
In a separate interview with E! News' "Daily Pop", Harry shared how it feels to have Angelina as a stepmom from 2000 to 2003. The California-born actor gushed over the "Eternals" star, "She was so cool," before adding that she "was awesome." He continued praising the 46-year-old actress, "She was so fun and, yeah, she was one of the best stepmoms I've had."
Harry further weighed in on problems he faced as the result of being the child of famous parents. "If anyone found out, that was the first thing they'd say," he lamented. "And everyone has the same line they always say ... It got annoying over time."
Harry and Angelina's relationship is seemingly still going well. On January 12, Harry told Entertainment Tonight that the "Maleficent" actress "still sends [him] Christmas gifts every year and stuff like that." He added, "I don't talk to her on the phone every day but every now and then we talk."
Billy Bob and Angelina got married in 2000, shortly after the "Goliath" actor broke up with ex-fiancee Laura Dern. On the reasons why the marriage failed, Angelina said in November 2020, "What wasn't meant to be was he was focusing on his music ... and I was upstairs reading," before admitting that she "went through a change in [her] life and started paying more attention to the news and learning about other countries and becoming more politically active."
