AceShowbiz - Fat Joe couldn't stop gushing over his eldest child on the latter's birthday. Sharing a heartfelt tribute to Joey Cartagena on Instagram, the "All The Way Up" rapper called his son his "biggest blessing."
On Wednesday, December 15, the 51-year-old emcee shared a rare picture of him wrapping his arms around Joey, who smiled widely to the camera. He began his caption, "Life is full of surprises. I was just a kid at 19 years old when i had Joey. It was one of the scariest days of my life. Doctors said he wouldn't be normal and kids like this are hard to deal with."
"Not once did me and my family think of giving up on Joey. He's my jr. it's a lot of work it's a constant sacrifice that parents make to keep their children happy and most of all safe," the New York native added. "I've always kept Joey out of the limelight cause they're bad elements out there i never wanted him exposed to."
The proud dad went on to rave over his Joey, who has autism. He said, "Joey has accomplished above and beyond & i also believe he keeps my parents alive cause they love him sooooooo much. How do you tell someone who's given you so much joy in life thank you???. How do you tell your best friend and most loyal one thank you??"
"I am so proud of Joey he's my heart & soul. I love you Joey, we all love you Joey, thank you for being my Biggest blessing in life!" the hip-hop star concluded his sweet message. "Happy Birthday Joey, God bless you."
Fat Joe's famous pals were quick to send birthday wishes to Joey. One in particular was Remy Ma who exclaimed, "Happy birthday Joey." Mario Lopez gushed, "HBD Joey! God Bless you guys :)." Amber Rose chimed in, "We love you Joey! Happy Birthday!"
In addition to Joey, Fat Joe has two other children. He is a father to son Ryan from a previous relationship and 15-year-old daughter Azariah, whom he shares with wife Lorena Cartagena.
