AceShowbiz - Singer Gwen Stefani has revealed a secret COVID battle forced her to cancel several shows in 2020.

The judge on U.S. show "The Voice" returned to her "Just a Girl" residency at Zappos Theater on in Las Vegas on Friday (22Oct21), and shared her coronavirus story with the audience.

"I was the first one to have COVID, in case you wondered, I was in Vegas," she quipped, asking the crowd, "Do you remember when I cancelled those four shows?"

Gwen was previously scheduled to perform from 7 to 14 February 2020 but did not return to the stage until 15 February (20), according to the Daily Mail.

"I would literally take people up here and make out with you, but... I gotta make it through the next eight shows," she joked during her concert return.

Gwen is set to perform in Las Vegas until 6 November (21). The residency began in 2018, but was put on hold in May, 2020 due to the pandemic.

The pandemic also forced Gwen Stefani to postpone her nuptials with Blake Shelton before the couple finally swapped vows on Fourth of July this year.

She jokingly blamed her beau for not proposing to her before the pandemic, "We have no plans because of the pandemic. It's like, 'Blake, why couldn't you have done it before?' Now, we can't have a wedding with the pandemic."

For her big day, she just wanted to have her parents with her. However, "even when you cut it down to just family, it's still too many people for COVID, so we're sort of like gonna see what happens in the next few months," she elaborated.
