AceShowbiz - Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman has appealed to the public for help in tracking down her pet pooch after he went missing in Massachusetts.
The retired athlete took to Instagram on Sunday, July 4 and asked locals to keep an eye out for her beloved Mylo, revealing he was spooked by the fireworks for America's Independence Day weekend.
"To my followers in the seaport/Boston area...my dog Mylo was terrified of fireworks and ran off [sic]," she wrote. "He has a tag on and a leash. Please let me know if you see him. Thank you."
Raisman went on to warn fans not to "actively search" for the pup, explaining, "He is terrified, and the folks at Missing Dogs Mass advised that we don't have anyone yelling his name or running around looking for him. I was told that scared dogs will make bad decisions if they are pressured, and that is the last thing that we want to have happen."
"If anyone should see Mylo, please don't post the location in social media comments, but message me directly at [email protected]," she added. "Tremendous gratitude for your help and understanding."
Raisman adopted Mylo from a Rhode Island shelter last October (2020), three months after he was born, and the pooch counts "Captain America" star Chris Evans' furry friend, Dodger, among his play pals.
When announcing Mylo's adoption, Raisman tweeted, "He was born July 16, 2020. I'm so excited to be his mom." She added in the same post, "I've already cried a few times because I feel so lucky. He's currently napping on my chest. I can't wait to get to know him."
