The 'Fight Song' hitmaker is asking for 'love and light' from her fans as she feels daunted about having a second child while already struggling as a working mom.

AceShowbiz - Pregnant singer Rachel Platten is seeking messages of "love and light" after feeling "overwhelmed" by the idea of welcoming her second child while already struggling as a working mum.
The "Fight Song" star and her husband, Kevin Lazan, are expecting a sibling for their two-year-old daughter Violet Skye, and on Monday (28Jun21), the mother-to-be admitted she was anxious about adding another baby to the mix.
"Could you guys keep us in your prayers today?" she asked her Instagram followers.
"I am struggling a little bit, just so pregnant and overwhelmed and trying to support my family and scared to add another baby when this already seems like too much sometimes with my career. Oy (sic)."
Admitting she could use a little confidence boost, Platten added, "The mean thoughts are getting to me even though i KNOW they're not true. I love to being able to GIVE love and light but, right now, I'm trying to be brave and ask for some (sic)."
"Ok thanks so much I love you," she concluded. "Just any words of love and wisdom you feel called to share, I'm trusting that's what I'm meant to hear. Thank you."
The singer's request was granted as she was quickly flooded with messages of strength and encouragement from fans and famous friends, including fellow musician and working mum Jewel, who commented, "You got this, mamma (sic)!!"
And actress Claire Holt, who gave birth to her second child last year (20), wrote, "I know this feeling!! One foot in front of the other. As someone very wise told me, just keep f**king going. The storm will pass and you'll catch your breath. You're a wonderful mama and you got this (sic)."
