To celebrate his fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe star's birthday, the Thor depicter says that the 'Knives Out' actor will 'always be number 1' in a hilarious birthday tribute.

AceShowbiz - Chris Hemsworth is taking a hilarious way to honor Chris Evans on his birthday. To celebrate his "The Avengers" co-star turning 40 on Sunday, June 13, the "Thor: Ragnarok" actor trolled the birthday boy by giving him a shout-out on Instagram along with a photo of Hemsworth with Chris Pratt.

"Happy 40th birthday Chris Evans, you'll always be number 1 in my book @chrisevans," the "Extraction" actor wrote alongside a selfie of him with the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star. The photo he shared on Sunday, appeared to be a behind-the-scenes snap from the upcoming film "Thor: Love and Thunder".

In the post, Hemsworth was seen flashing a goofy smile and sporting Thor's long blonde hair. On the other hand, Pratt, who could be seen dressing as Star-Lord, was captured smiling and giving a thumbs up to the camera.

In the comments section, a group of fans played along with the joke, with many making witty remarks of their own. "Chris Evans looks different," one fan wrote as another replied, "Man. Chris has changed over the years." The third chimed in, "Chris Evans: am I a joke to you?"

Others continued to make light of the situation, joking about "Star Trek" actor Chris Pine, another Hollywood Chris. "Come on…. That's obviously Chris Pine," one fan said as another added, "Thats not chris evans its chris pine."

The confusion between Marvel actors began in January. At the time, Pratt's father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger mistakenly referred to him as Evans during an Instagram charity live event hosted by the "Passengers" actor. The 41-year-old actor married the "Terminator: Dark Fate" star's eldest daughter Katherine in 2019.

"Hello, Chris ... Evans, oh not Chris Evans, sorry, I'm going to screw up this whole thing right from the beginning, Chris Pratt," Schwarzenegger said. He then continued, "I didn't look at the cue cards the right way. Sorry about that. I should know your name, I should know your name. That's for sure. You're my favorite son-in-law." Pratt went on to reply hilariously, "I'm your only son-in-law."

Also celebrating Evans' birthday was Mark Ruffalo. "Sending all the virtual hugs to you on your birthday, brother! Two can play the 'no phones on set' game, @chrisevans," the Hulk depicter in Marvel Cinematic Universe wrote along with a photo of him and the "Knives Out" actor laughing.
