The 'Good Days' singer says she hates being outside so much due to her struggle with 'debilitating anxiety' and is grateful for surviving the Billboard Music Awards.

AceShowbiz - SZA's "debilitating anxiety" makes it difficult for her to be outside.

The "Kiss Me More" hitmaker appeared on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (23May21) and performed on stage with Doja Cat but the 30-year-old admitted her anxiety struggles sometimes make it hard for her to go out at all.

Sharing a string of pictures from the annual music event, she admitted in an honest post on Instagram, "I hate being outside more than I can explain. I really have debilitating anxiety and I'm only posting these cause Y'all woulda found em anyway. Thank you to my team n my mama. Least I'm alive (sic)."

SZA has struggled with anxiety all her life and previously begged people "not to invite her" to things.

"I have way too much anxiety to be outside. I'm begging u not to invite me to s**t," she wrote.

SZA and Doja Cat were pitted against each other and another nominee Jhene Aiko for the coveted title of Top R&B Female Artist at this year's Billboard Music Awards. Doja, who received five nominations, won the prestigious prize.

Doja was also up for Top New Artist along with Gabby Barrett, Jack Harlow, and Rod Wave, but they lost out to the late Pop Smoke.

Meanwhile, she and the likes of Jhene Aiko, Justin Bieber, and Chris Brown had to bow down to The Weeknd in Top R&B Artist category.

Doja's two other nominations were for Top R&B Album and Top R&B Song.
