The singer and Henry held hands as they joined thousands of people showing their support for those who have been taking part in the U.S. movement for the past week, speaking out against the death of African-American George Floyd at the hands of Minnesota police officers.

Payne joined "Star Wars" actor John Boyega and actress Billie Piper among the activists in London, while his former bandmate Harry Styles joined celebrities protesting on the streets in Los Angeles.

Halsey, Cara Delevingne, Machine Gun Kelly, Madison Beer, and Travis Barker have been spotted among the demonstrators in California.

Some of the protests in cities across America have turned violent in recent days, with officials calling for evening curfews to keep people off the streets.
