AceShowbiz - Gwen Stefani has given her boyfriend, Blake Shelton, her permission to grow out his mullet during his forced downtime amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The country star postponed a series of March dates on his "Friends and Heroes Tour" last week, March 13, and now he's looking for things to do to pass the time.
Blake took to Twitter on Tuesday, March 17, to declare he's thinking about grooming his hair to revisit the look he sported early in his career.
"I have an announcement," he wrote. "With basically EVERYTHING I had scheduled being canceled for the foreseeable further @gwenstefani and I have made a decision together. I am growing my mullet back as a symbol of hope or some s**t like that... Anyway it’s coming back! For real. Stay tuned...."
Shelton's girlfriend and fellow "The Voice" judge might support his decision now, but she knocked the hairstyle choice during a September (19) appearance on U.S. TV show "Late Night with Seth Meyers".
"I never, never thought I'd get the opportunity to be with someone that has a mullet, or had a mullet," she quipped. "Can you believe it? He actually had that haircut! He thought that was great."
