These companies obviously look to ensure that they deliver memorable commercials during the Super Bowl, but some of them end up getting caught in controversy instead.

AceShowbiz - In this era, being homophobic is no longer allowed and you will get canceled if you ever do that in public. Thus, people were not having it when they saw a Snickers commercial for the 2007 Super Bowl that saw two mechanics accidentally kissing while eating the same candy bar. They looked horrified after the kiss and then tried to do something "manly."

People quickly branded the spot homophobic with the Human Rights Campaign and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation filing a complaint to the company. "This kind of prejudice was inexcusable," GLAAD spokesman Marc McCarthy said in a statement. In results of this, the company decided to pull the ad.
