AceShowbiz - Animals being featured in a Super Bowl commercial is a common thing, but what Skechers did for its spot outraged a lot of people, particularly animal lovers. For the company's Super Bowl ads in 2012, it aired a commercial featuring greyhound racing and was soon met with backlash as people accused them of supporting the activity that many deemed cruel.
Public's response was overwhelmingly negative to the point that some called for boycott and the others launched a petition for the company to change its spot. However, the director of the commercial's post-production defended the controversial ads and insisted that "no animal was harmed in the making of this commercial."
