AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey's Twitter was targeted by hacker on New Year's Eve. Fans suspected her account was hacked when her page was suddenly filled with diss messages and racist slurs. One of them taunted Eminem, referring to his past relationship with Mariah. A couple of others contained N-word.
Hours later, the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" hitmaker took control of her account again. The chart-topping singer confirmed that she was hacked by deleting the crash messages and then expressing her annoyance, "I take a freaking nap and this happens?"
Still, the issue didn't dampen her spirit to celebrate New Year. She posted a clip of her ringing in 2020 with her two young children Moroccan and Monroe while wishing her followers a happy New Year. She enjoyed a holiday in the Dominican Republic, watching fireworks with the two kids.
Mariah Carey wrapped up 2019 with a big milestone. She broke the record as the only artist to score a number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for four decades in a row. Her 1994 Christmas track scored a third week at the top of the pop charts, giving her the first number one of the new decade.
She previously tied with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Usher, who all scored number ones over three decades.
The artist celebrated the milestone by giving "All I Want for Christmas Is You" a 25th anniversary makeover starring a host of famous friends. It featured Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Reynolds, Ariana Grande, Chance The Rapper, Jamie Foxx, Olivia Newton-John, Katy Perry, Snoop Dogg, and Tyler Perry.
