The 'Strip That Down' singer reveals in a new interview that he struggled to cope with his sudden rise to fame during his days with his boyband following 'The X Factor' graduation.

AceShowbiz - Liam Payne has confessed to using "mood stabiliser" drugs during his years in chart-topping boyband One Direction.
The group rose to international stardom after finishing in third place on the 2010 series of "The X Factor U.K." and went on to release five acclaimed studio albums, before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
Liam is gearing up to release his debut solo effort, "LP1", on Friday, December 6, and told The Guardian he used epilepsy medication to "keep him stable" as he struggled to cope with his sudden rise to fame.
"I just needed a little bit of help to keep me stable - but under certain lights on stage or during interviews, I wouldn't be able to tell them my name."
The "Strip That Down" hitmaker also admitted he turned to alcohol at the height of his fame to cope with the long periods of boredom he had to endure between shows - as he and bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik couldn't leave their hotel rooms without being mobbed by fans.
"Doing a show to however many thousands of people, then being stuck by yourself in a country where you can't go out anywhere - what else are you going to do? The minibar is always there."
