AceShowbiz - "Avengers: Endgame" shone the brightest at the 2019 People's Choice Awards, more than six months after it was released worldwide. The superhero film earned the most trophies in movie categories with a total of three nods.

"Endgame" bested other Marvel pics, "Captain Marvel" and "Spider-Man: Far From Home", for the titles of Movie of 2019 and Action Movie of 2019. Robert Downey Jr., who made his final appearance as Iron Man in the Russo brothers-directed film, was additionally named Male Movie Star of 2019.

"Spider-Man: Far From Home", however, didn't come home empty handed. Its lead actor Tom Holland won Action Movie Star of 2019, while leading lady Zendaya Coleman received Female Movie Star of 2019. Together with "Endgame", "Far From Home" helped Marvel dominate the movie full winner list with a total of five wins.

Other winners in the movie field included teen flick "After" as Drama Movie of 2019, Disney's musical remake "Aladdin" as Family Movie of 2019, and "Murder Mystery" as Comedy Movie of 2019.

"Five Feet Apart" star Cole Sprouse was voted as Drama Movie Star of 2019, with Noah Centineo grabbing Comedy Movie Star of 2019 for his role in "The Perfect Date". The "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" hunk was on crutches while accepting the award as he recently injured himself while playing basketball with his friend and dislocated his knee. Beyonce Knowles, meanwhile, won Animated Movie Star of 2019 for her voice role in "The Lion King (2019)".

The 45th annual People's Choice Awards, which was held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, also presented trophies for fans' favorites in pop culture, music and TV categories. The event aired live on E! channel.
