The latter even helped her practice during the competition and attended as a special guest at her wedding to Nick Cokas in 2008. Nothing seemed strange at the time, until they were spotted getting cozy at Nobu Malibu later in May 2017, after she ended her marriage to Nick.
Despite their PDA-filled outings, Katharine kept insisting that she and David were just "very close friends." People didn't believe that obviously, given that the pair continuously put on loved-up displays whenever and wherever cameras spotted them. In the end, the two made things official by making a red carpet debut as a couple at the 2018 Met Gala, before getting married a year later.
