AceShowbiz - Ashley Martson surprised her fans and social media followers as she gave a birthday shout-out to her ex Jay Smith. Hours before Jay turned 22 on Tuesday, October 8, the 33-year-old reality TV star posted on Instagram Stories, "Happy Birthday," while jokingly calling Jay a "Loser." She also tagged the Jamaica native.

Jay seemed to be happy for the birthday wish from his ex, reposting the message and writing back, "THANKS PUNK," with a devil and a face with stuck-out tongue emoji. He thanked her again in a second repost, adding a laughing with tears animoji.

As their social media interaction left people wondering about the status of their relationship, Ashley tells In Touch that she's back on friendly term with Jay. "Jay and I have been talking since I chose to drop the PFA," she tells the webloid in a statement.

Ashley was previously granted a Protection From Abuse (PFA) against Jay over the summer, and Jay allegedly violated the terms of the PFA by posting about Ashley and the PFA on Instagram. He was then arrested and placed on ICE custody until his boss posted his bail.

Setting things straight before people begin speculating about their reunion, the "90 Day Fiance" star stresses, "We are not back together, just cordial." She adds, "[We are] trying to get our divorce and immigration figured out. We both made a ton of mistakes and chose to forgive."

Back in August, Ashley said she had not spoken to Jay since he's released from ICE custody. "I don't really care if he's deported," said the mother of two about her estranged husband at the time. "I just want him to leave me alone."

Ashley and Jay are currently in divorce process, after Ashley filed the documents for the second time in April, citing "adultery" as the reason she ended the marriage. Jay has been dating Kayla O'Brien, who is rumored to be pregnant with his child.
