During a new interview, the 'Truth Hurts' singer also expresses her desire to have a collaboration with the Barbadian singer later in the future, though she wants it to happen naturally.

AceShowbiz - Lizzo's show-stopping stage performance at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards was praised by many people, and one of them was Rihanna. The "Truth Hurts" singer revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that the "Umbrella" star slid into her DMs to give her an NSFW compliment.

"She DM'ed me to tell me that I performed good," the 31-year-old said after she delivered a stunning performance at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Monday, August 26. "She said I f***ed the stage like it was my side b***h."

"Don't get mad, Rihanna," she continued. "I am not trying to blow up your spot, but that was a hard a** line! I might take that line."

During the interview, Lizzo also expressed her desire to have a collaboration with the Barbadian singer later in the future. "Listen, we need a video of Rihanna in the studio, period," she said.

However, the star said that she wouldn't pester Rihanna. "I am not going to bother her, 'cause I know what that feels like, so I am going to let her do what she ought to do. I love Rihanna," shared Lizzo.

While Lizzo and Rihanna's collab has yet to come true, the "Hustlers" star is poised to drop a new project with Justin Timberlake. "I had fun doing it," Lizzo said working along with the "Mirror" hitmaker. "Collaborations, for me, is about the energy and the relationship. I mean, it is Justin Timberlake, so I am not trying to be like, 'Ahh, I didn't have a good vibe with Justin Timberlake.' "

As for her upcoming movie "Hustlers" which also stars Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart and Cardi B, Lizzo shared, "It is a really cool movie to be a part of, like, 'Damn, I'm a part of that movie!' " She added, "I'm just so happy to have the small part that I have and if [Jennifer] asked me to be on a song with her and Cardi B, ya know, I definitely wouldn't say no. It would be lit. It would be fun, like, shake, shake, shake, shake it!"
