Claimed to have been owned $43,200 by the 'Barbie Dreams' rapper, Cristina Acevedo notes in legal documents that the former accused her of scheming to get rich in response to her request to get paid.

AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj is facing a lawsuit from a disgruntled former stylist.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Cristina Acevedo claims she was hired as a stylist for Minaj in 2017 at the rate of $1,500 (£1,150) per day.

She apparently worked more than 10 hours a day for the rapper over the course of 24 days while travelling across the United States.

However, at the end of the trip, Minaj allegedly refused to "pay even one penny" for the work, and Acevedo had to hunt down the 36-year-old for payment.

The stylist eventually received an email from the rapper that reportedly read, "No one is paying you $36,000. Send an email with some sense or don't send any others. This isn't your get rich quick scheme."

Minaj allegedly ended the email, "Girl, goodbye."

Acevedo claimed in the lawsuit that the Starships hitmaker never disputed her day rate, so she has no idea why she is refusing payment.

The stylist has calculated that she is owed $43,200 (£33,130) plus damages.

Acevedo included Minaj and her companies in the lawsuit, including Pink Friday Productions and Pink Personality, Inc.

A representative for the rapper is yet to comment on the lawsuit.
