The second full-length trailer gives a look at Carol's transformation into the superhero as well as her full costume with a helmet.

AceShowbiz - As promised, the new "Captain Marvel" trailer was released by Marvel Studios on Monday, December 3 during Monday Night Football. While the first trailer offered a broad idea of the storyline, the second one gives an extended look at the titular hero's origin and her mission on Earth.

The video opens with Brie Larson's titular character fighting a no-ordinary old woman on a train. The footage then flashes back to the time Carol Danvers' plane crash lands on Hala, the Kree home planet, and she is saved by being turned into one of them, which is how she gets the power.

Upon returning to Earth, Carol confides to Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) that she keeps having visions about her time on Earth, but can't remember her past. "I think I had a life here," she says as she looks into document probably about herself.

There's also a glimpse of Carol's childhood, while Carol asks someone unseen, "Why aren't you telling me?" Jude Law's mysterious character is seen telling her, "You've come a long way. They're not as strong as you think."

But when she finally understands her place on Earth, Carol is taking part in the war against the invaders and is determined to end it. Hence she fully transforms into Captain Marvel with a blue-and-red costume, which she wears complete with the helmet toward the end of the video.

Based on Marvel Comics, "Captain Marvel" follows Carol Danvers, who was an accomplished Air Force pilot before she left her earthly life behind to join the elite military team Starforce on the Kree planet of Hala. Carol is back on Earth when the Skrulls plan an invasion of Earth.

Djimon Hounsou reprises his "Guardians of the Galaxy" role as Korath, Gemma Chan plays Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn stars as the Skrulls leader Talos, Lashana Lynch portrays Carol's old friend Maria "Photon" Rambeau, and Annette Bening joins the cast in an undisclosed role.

Meanwhile, recent report said that Law is possibly playing Yon-Rogg. Instead of an ally to Carol, the new revelation suggested that he would villainize the upcoming movie. In the comic books, Yon-Rogg is a member of the Kree military force and serves as a military commander. He hates Mar-Vell and makes multiple attempts to disgrace him among the Kree or to outright kill him.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck direct the movie, which is written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet. It is set for a March 8, 2019 release in the United States.
