The action-packed video hints at Carol's crash land on earth, a memory loss and a big threat from outer space.

AceShowbiz - Keeping its promise, Marvel Studios released the highly-anticipated first trailer for "Captain Marvel" Tuesday, September 18 on "Good Morning America". It opens with a scene showing Brie Larson's Carol Danvers a.k.a. the titular hero crash landing on earth, into a Blockbuster Video.

Wearing Starforce's green uniform, she appears to be confused as to where she is. Carol is later seen in action, jumping onto a moving train and unleashing her superpower from her hand, making it easy for a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent like Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to notice her.

A young Nick, who still has his two eyes, approaches her. He appears to try to recruit Carol as he tells her a big threat that's looming on earth, "Space invasion. Big car chase." He adds, "Truth be told, I was ready to hang it up 'til I met you today."

The trailer offers a glimpse of Carol's life on Hala, the Kree home planet, as she is featured along with other members of Starforce. There's also a look at Jude Law as the leader of Starforce who also acts as Carol's mentor.

Carol seems to have suffered memory loss, though she sees fragments of her life on earth. "I keep having these memories," she says, as the scenes show her days as an Air Force pilot. "I see flashes. I think I had a life here. But I can't tell if it's real."

The villain, the Skrulls, are seen arriving on earth, while another scene shows Nick and another person in a suit overseeing an autopsy being performed on a green-skinned alien. In another scene, Carol is punching an old lady, who could be a Skrull, as the aliens are known for their shape-shifting abilities.

Lee Pace's Ronan and Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson also make a brief appearance in the video.

Based on Marvel Comics, "Captain Marvel" follows Carol Danvers, who was an accomplished Air Force pilot before she left her earthly life behind to join the elite military team Starforce on the Kree planet of Hala. The members also include Djimon Hounsou's Korath (from "Guardians of the Galaxy") and Gemma Chan's Minn-Erva. Carol is back on Earth when the Skrulls plan an invasion of Earth.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck direct the movie, which also stars Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrulls leader, Talos, Lashana Lynch as Carol's old friend, Maria "Photon" Rambeau, and Annette Bening in an undisclosed role. Written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, the movie is set for a March 8, 2019 release in the United States.
