The 'Havana' hitmaker grabs the most fan votes for Best International Artist, while the 'Youngblood' pop rockers takes home three prizes from the prestigious Australian music awards.

AceShowbiz - Camila Cabello was named Best International Artist at Australia's prestigious ARIA Music Awards on Wednesday, November 28.

The "Havana" hitmaker beat the likes of Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Eminem, and Drake in a fan vote to claim the top honour for non-Australian artists.

Pop rockers 5 Seconds of Summer, who also opened the show at Sydney's Star Event Centre with their track "Youngblood", took home three prizes, including Best Live Act, Song of the Year, for "Youngblood", and Best Group.

Their success was matched by singer Amy Shark, who bagged the Best Female Artist trophy, Best Pop Release, and Album of the Year.

Keith Urban hosted proceedings and was supported by his actress wife Nicole Kidman, who walked the red carpet with him before the bash.

His fellow country star Kasey Chambers was inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame. She also won Best Country Album with her band The Fireside Disciples for their record "Campfire".

Other major winners included indigenous Australian multi-instrumentalist Gurrumul, who bagged two awards, Best Male Artist and Best Independent Release for his record "Djarimirri (Child of the Rainbow)", and 16-year-old singer-songwriter Ruel, who won a breakthrough prize.
