Movie

The video still follows McConaughey's rebellious Moondog while sharing a new glimpse of Zac Efron's character Flicker.

AceShowbiz - A new green band trailer for Harmony Korine's "The Beach Bum" has been released for viewing pleasure. The video contains footage which is pretty much the same with the previously released red band trailer, but without the profanities.

The trailer highlights Matthew McConaughey's Moondog, a poet who leads an eccentric life. Rocking long unkempt hair, he writes everywhere he wants, including the beach, in the state of nearly undressed with only wearing shorts.

He seems to live his life to the fullest, smoking, drinking and often partying. In one scene, he appears to get wasted and sprawl on the floor. The video also offers a new glimpse of Zac Efron's character Flicker, who is having a toast with Moondog.

From the mind behind "Spring Breakers", "The Beach Bum" follows the misadventures Moondog a.k.a. "The Beach Bum", who is described as a rebellious and loveable rogue who lives life large. As he declares in the trailer, his motto is to "suck the nectar" out of life.

Korine previously described the movie as "a wild, audacious ride." He writes the flick, with Charles-Marie Anthonioz, Mourad Belkeddar, Steve Golin, John Lesher and Nicholas Lhermitte serving as producers.

Isla Fisher stars as Minnie, Moondog's wife, joined by the likes of Snoop Dogg as Lingerie, Jonah Hill as Lewis, Stefania LaVie Owen as Heather and Martin Lawrence as Captain Wack. Jimmy Buffett and Bertie Higgins additionally play themselves.

The drama comedy is scheduled to be released on March 22 in the U.S. by Neon.
