The 'Un-Break My Heart' hitmaker wonders how the 'Halo' singer looks better than her after the latter shares pictures of her replicating the former's 1993 album cover.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles has paid tribute to Toni Braxton by dressing up as the R&B veteran for Halloween.

The "Halo" icon shared a series of images of herself mimicking Toni's cover art from her self-titled 1993 album and lead single "Another Sad Love Song", in which the "Un-break My Heart" hitmaker posed in a white tank top, jeans with a gold chain belt, and a black leather jacket.

Beyonce's take on the outfit was spot on, and she even donned a dark wig styled in a pixie cut, complete with similar gold jewellery, and red lipstick - just like Toni.

Dubbing herself "Phoni Braxton", the superstar posted side-by-side snaps so fans could see for themselves how perfect her costume was.

"Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends," Beyonce wrote in a rare caption.

"Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always."

She then added a holiday wish for her fans, concluding, "Have a Happy Halloween my Kings and Queens."

The costume salute came as a complete surprise to Toni, who took to Twitter to express her delight at the honour.

"Phoni Braxton!? NEVER!!!" the excited star wrote. "How do you look better than me on MY album cover? I LOVE IT, Such a superstar! Thanks for the love sis! Happy Halloween."

Reciting lyrics from Beyonce's Run the World (Girls) hit, Toni tweeted, "Who run the world...GIRLS! GIRLS! @Beyonce."

Beyonce has become known for channelling her music icons for Halloween.

Last year (17), she pulled off five of her favourite Lil' Kim looks, while she has also dressed up as Janet Jackson, and recruited her daughter Blue Ivy and mother Tina Knowles-Lawson for a family Salt-N-Pepa outfit in the past.
