AceShowbiz - "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" emerged as the big winner at the 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards as the full winner list in movie category was unveiled on Sunday night, January 21. The black comedy film directed by Martin McDonagh took home three awards that night, including the prize for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

After her Golden Globe win, Frances McDormand was honored at the Kristen Bell-hosted event with the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her role as Mildred Hayes in the film. Hayes is a mother who rents three billboards to call attention to her daughter's unsolved murder, polarizing the community.
Earlier in the night, McDormand's co-star Sam Rockwell was announced as the winner of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role. Rockwell beat his fellow nominees in the category which also included his "Three Billboards" cast-mate Woody Harrelson.
The Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role award went to "Darkest Hour" star Gary Oldman, while Allison Janney nabbed the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role in "I, Tonya" as the disgraced figure skater's mother, LaVona Fay Golden.
DC's "Wonder Woman" was honored with the Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture award at the ceremony which was held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Additionally, veteran actor Morgan Freeman received the Life Achievement Award for his work in film, aside from his humanitarian accomplishments.
The 2018 SAG Awards acted as a strong indicator of success at the upcoming Academy Awards, which will be held on March 4.
