The 'Charmed' alum says at the TCA's press tour that she has to sell her house 'to pay legal bills fighting off the monsters.'

AceShowbiz - Rose McGowan talked about her battle against Harvey Weinstein when taking the stage at the Television Critics Association's press tour in Pasadena, California, on Tuesday, January 9. The actress suggested that her legal battle cost her a lot financially that she's forced to sell her house.

McGowan opened up last October that she had been raped by Weinstein years ago. Reports suggested she signed a nondisclosure agreement as part of her settlement with the disgraced movie mogul for $100,000 to not talk about their 1997 hotel room encounter during the Sundance Film Festival.

"I never signed an NDA, actually," McGowan told reporters at TCA. "That was a mistake the press made, and actually a mistake that I made for a long time. [I was misinformed] by a lawyer that I had signed one, when in fact it turned out I hadn't. I thought I remember refusing that. I think NDAs, as we're finding out, can be broken."

But the legal battle against Weinstein, whom she dubbed "the monster," is still taking a major financial toll as she revealed, "It's really scary, I'm having to sell my house right now to pay legal bills fighting off the monsters."

McGowan was at TCA to promote her upcoming E! docuseries "Citizen Rose", where she shares her story of survival after sexual assault. Asked if she was uncomfortable working with E! as the network was called out over Catt Sadler's departure over pay disparity, the "Grindhouse" star responded, "That came about after I had done my deal."

She further shared her thoughts on the issue. "I will say, let me hang out a while, maybe things will change...That is systemic, and you can call it out against E!" but it's everywhere, she said, adding, "I really like the people at E!."

At the panel, McGowan also encouraged victims of sexual assault to continue coming forward. "Let's take Tom Cruise jumping on the couch [during his infamous Oprah Winfrey appearence]. Nobody was writing about Scientology, everybody was worried they'd get sued. Then [the couch jumping] happens and everybody started to [writing about Scientology]. I've been saying to these ladies: 'Jump on that f***ing couch, it's okay.' Because if so many are coming out ... it makes them look really bad...," she said.
