AceShowbiz - Blake Shelton is named this year's Sexiest Man Alive by PEOPLE. The magazine announced it on Tuesday, November 14 and will feature the country superstar on the cover of its special double issue which will hit newsstands this Friday.

If you're confused that the magazine chose the "Sangria" singer for the title, you're not alone. Blake himself seemed to be surprised by the honor as he tells the magazine about his first reaction, "That y'all must be running out of people. Like, Wow, we're down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical."

It was his girlfriend Gwen Stefani who convinced him to embrace the crown. "She goes, 'Listen to me, you're going to regret this for the rest of your life if you don't take this gift and just live in the moment,' " he says of the No Doubt star.

And since he's got the title, he won't waste the opportunity to stick it to his fellow "The Voice" coach Adam Levine. "I can't wait to shove this up Adam's a**," he jokingly says. "As proud as I am and honored that you guys asked me, that's really the only thing I care about."

On its official Twitter account, PEOPLE lists a series of attributes that made Blake deserve the title of Sexiest Man Alive. The publication claims that the 41-year-old has got "sex appeal," "sense of humor" and "voice of an angel."
