Ruby Rose Claps Back at Critic Who Body Shames Her for Being 'Too Thin'

The Australian model says that the dietician's comment is maddening and irresponsible, adding that she's running at an optimum level and has endless energy.
Ruby Rose didn't hold back when someone body shamed her. Following her appearance at Country Music Awards, Los Angeles-based dietician Lisa DeFazio claimed that Ruby is too thin and suggested that her family and friends help her gain weight before it's too late. Lisa even stated that Ruby only weighed 44kg.

Knowing that, Ruby immediately took to Twitter to hit back at the dietician, remarking that Lisa's comment was irresponsible and maddening. "Telling a magazine MY 'manager, friends and family should get involved and help me before it's too late' and that my weight is '44 kilos' (I'd probably be in hospital if that were true) is so maddening and irresponsible," she wrote.

She added that she had the best medical professionals who helped her with her diet. She then stated that she had endless energy. "I have the best team, family, friends, partner and medical professionals (not the ones who want to be TV hosts but actual credible eastern and western doctors)," she continued. "I'm running at an optimum level. I am deficient in nothing and have endless energy."

The "Pitch Perfect 3" star concluded her rant by threatening the dietician, saying that she would knock her off if Lisa mentioned her weight again. "I will absolutely knock you off your pedestal of self serving bulls**t. I'd out train you, out box you, and sleep better at night. Leave people alone," she wrote.

This wasn't the first time Ruby had to stand up for herself after someone body shamed her. The Australian model previously took to Instagram Stories to defend herself after people said that she looked "anorexic" during her appearance at CFDA/Vogue Fund Fashion Show.

"Body shaming S***S ME. It's so frustrating," she wrote. "I ate so much amazing food. I just don't drink alcohol or eat processed foot, or meat or dairy and I train every day. I'm plant based and stupidly healthy. I used to be a boxer. My body is just my body fluctuates and it changes depending how hard I train. The end."
