The comedian is slammed as a 'terrible human being' following her tweet which blamed republicans for the deadly massacre which took the lives of 24 people in Sutherland Springs.

AceShowbiz - Amid the already-upsetting situation in the country right now, following the deadly mass shooting at a Texas church on Sunday, November 5, a celebrity upsets people more with her post on Twitter. Comedian Chelsea Handler has landed in hot water for her tweet in which she blames Republicans for the massacre, which killed at least 26 innocent people.

"Innocent people go to church on Sunday to honor their God, and while doing so, get shot in killed (sic)," the 42-year-old star writes on Twitter. Her tweet is okay, until she adds, "What country? America. Why? Republicans," outraging people in Twitterverse.

A Twitter user snarks at Chelsea, "The bodies aren't even cold yet and you are politicizing them. You really have a dark heart. #NastyWoman." Similarly, another account tweets, "Does your career depend on you being a vile, callous person, or is that a personal choice?"

Another user slams the former "Chelsea" host as "a hypocrite," adding, "And part of the problem with your constant tweets of hate that separates the country." In addition, a user takes a jab at her by simply dubbing her "a terrible human being."

"Chelsea...I love you, but the 'why' is not so simple, certainly not JUST republicans. many republicans are in favor of reform...NRA probs," another user writes. Meanwhile, another one says that her move is "a cheap shot." The account adds, "This is new low from the left. Sad time in our country and you decide to take a cheap shot. Please Pray for the victims and their families."

A gunman opened fire at the First Baptist Church in a small Texan town of Sutherland Springs. The incident killed 26 while 20 were injured in the attack, officials reported. According to federal law enforcement, the shooting suspect has been identified as 26-year-old Devin Patrick Kelley. The incident came just a month after Stephen Paddock killed 58 people and injured 546 others when he opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers in Las Vegas on October 1.
