Kate Upton and Justin Verlander tied the knot over the weekend and now pictures from their lavish Italian wedding have surfaced online. In the pictures obtained by TMZ, the bride looked stunning in a white Valentino dress with lace sleeves. Her hair was parted to the side in loose waves. The groom looked sharp in a black tuxedo with a black bow tie.
In one of the photos, the newlyweds posed along with their six bridesmaids and six groomsmen. They were beaming as they looked into each other's eyes while holding a glass of wine. Her bridesmaids wore blush-colored dresses.
The 25-year-old model and the MLB player tied the knot at an old medieval church at the Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort in Tuscany, Italy on Saturday, November 4, just days after Justin won the World Series with the Houston Astros. The church was located on the top of a hill amidst ancient ruins and overlooking the Montalcino valley and vineyards.
The wedding venue was adorned with deep red and blush flowers and olive branches mixed in to continue the authentic Italian theme. After the ceremony which lasted 30 minutes, the couple and the guests continued the celebration at the restaurant on the same property.
Kate Upton started dating Justin Verlander in 2014. They got engaged in 2016. "I'm really excited, he asked me right before season started so we've been keeping it on the down low for quite a while," she broke the news at MET Gala. "So I'm excited to finally be able to share it with the world!"
Due to the wedding, Justin was unable to join his teammates for Astros celebratory parade through downtown Houston on Friday. Some people blamed Kate for it, taking to the comment section of her Instagram post to blast the blonde beauty.
"Should have let him go to the parade," one wrote. "YOU SHOULD HAVE POSTPONED YOUR WEDDING FOR HIS PARADE HES GOIKG TO REGRET IT FOREVER AND YOU GUYS WILL GET DIVORCED OVER IT , I BET ON IT," another angry fan wrote.
Another, however, defended the 25-year-old model as writing, "Get over yourselves people... I bet they had the wedding date planned long before he became an Houston Astros,and she didn't make him do anything he did the right thing and went married the woman he loves.."
