Maroon 5's upcoming sixth studio album "Red Pill Blues" will soon make its way out to stores, and the band hypes it up by releasing another track off the album. Following the release of "What Lovers Do", Adam Levine and his bandmates unleashed a new track entitled "Whiskey" featuring A$AP Rocky on October 18. The band shared the good news on Twitter, saying, "Not going to stop a good thing. Listen to our new song."

The three-and-a-half minute song starts off with low piano notes, which is soon followed by Levine's silvery voice. The dulcet track finds the frontman reminiscing about his past love. "Leave's are fallin'/ It's September/ The night came in and made her shiver/ I told her she could have my jacket," he sings. "Wrapped it tight around her shoulders/ And I was so young/ 'till she kissed me/ Like a whiskey/ Like a whiskey."

A$AP Rocky lends his voice for the final verse, giving some alcohol metaphors in his raps. "All that tequila is a killer, little vodka break or something proper/ Pop a cork and play spin the bottle," he spits his lines. "Dom Perignon, she the fine wine/ Someone call 911, I'm runnin' out of time/ She done got off my heart."

"Whiskey" is the fourth track that Maroon 5 unveiled before the release of the album. Previously, the band had released "Cold" featuring Future, deluxe edition's exclusive track "Don't Wanna Know" featuring Kendrick Lamar and "What Lovers Do" featuring SZA. "Red Pill Blues" will be released on November 3 via Interscope Records.

The band's new album aside, Maroon 5 received a Decade Award at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards on August 13. Levine and guitarist James Valentine came to receive the trophy. After receiving the award, Levine said, "We're not teens, but the fact that teenagers can appreciate what we do after all this time. Our first album came out in 2002, before most of you hadn't been born that that point. It's so crazy that we're still doing this."
