PSY has to hand over his crown as the king of YouTube, as his viral hit "Gangnam Style" is no longer the most-viewed video on the video-sharing platform. Wiz Khalifa takes the top spot from the Korean sensation after his video for "See You Again" featuring Charlie Puth has been viewed nearly 2.9 billion times as of Tuesday, July 11. The record comes just days after the fifth anniversary of "Gangnam Style" release on YouTube.

"See You Again" was first uploaded in April 2015, serving as a soundtrack of "Furious 7" and a tribute to late actor Paul Walker. "I'm super excited and grateful to everyone who supported the song and video on YouTube, and happy to inspire and impact so many lives," Khalifa said in a statement.

Puth later took to Twitter to express his excitement, writing, "For the record, I joined @YouTube in 2007 hoping to make a video that would reach 10,000 views. Just heard about 'See You Again'...wow."

Trailing behind "See You Again" and "Gangnam Style" with also more than 2 billion views are Justin Bieber's "Sorry", Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" and Luis Fonsi's "Despacito". Unfortunately, it seems like Khalifa won't hold the title as YouTube king for long, as "Despacito" has racked up nearly 2.5 billion views in just five months.
