'It may continue in some way, shape, or form with new people or keeping some of the [old] cast,' says Lucy Hale.

The recently debuted seventh season of "Pretty Little Liars" might be the end, at least for some of its cast members. Lucy Hale teased a possible new spin-off to the hit teen drama series, after insisting in the past that season 7 would be the last for the show.

She told ET at the premiere event for the TV series in Los Angeles last week, "It's probably the last season with the full cast, which is what made ['PLL'] what it is." She added, "It's bittersweet. It may continue in some way, shape, or form with new people or keeping some of the [old] cast."

"I think all good things must come to an end," Hale continued. "All of us are excited to try new things. This show has been so special to me and has opened up a billion different doors, so I'll ride it out as long as the other girls do."

Tyler Blackburn also hinted at the possibility of the show living on in some way after the seventh season. "It's a juggernaut. I think it's not going to die completely. I don't know which direction it's going to go in, but it's pretty bittersweet," he said.

While the rumored spin-off is not announced yet, Troian Bellisario has had some ideas for the follow-up project. "My god, it would be a blast!" she shared to E! News. "We would shoot in Italy and London... She'd be traveling constantly. She'd be time traveling to the past, and it's an amazing show... I just described, like, 'Outlander'... The Spencer show, it's a mixture of 'Girls' and 'Outlander'."

Hale chimed in, "I think there's so many areas of Aria that haven't been explored. She went away to Iceland before the show even started, so like, why was she there? I love Aria, she's become a huge part of me, so I keep an open mind."

Series Creator Marlene King also doesn't rule out a possible spin-off. "I'm open to any version of keeping these characters alive in our world," she said.

"PLL" season 7 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Freeform.
