The basketball star responds to Kehlani's suicide attempt and sets the record straight on the rumors suggesting that she cheated on him.

AceShowbiz - Kyrie Irving finally breaks his silence on Kehlani drama. The R&B singer attempted suicide after she was attacked online and accused of cheating on the NBA star with her ex, rapper PARTYNEXTDOOR. Kehlani has vehemently denied the cheating rumors and now her claim is backed by Irving's statement.

"It's been hard to see what's been going on and not address the truth," the basketball player wrote in a series of Tweets that have since been deleted. "I do not justify the picture or what dude did to try and spark all of this non sense that could have been avoided, but me and Kehlani were not dating when the picture came out."

He went on, "It's unfortunate that it's received so much attention but its become bigger because of a post that was misunderstood. Nothing but love and compassion over this way for her and her family. My only focus the Game I love to play every night."

The cheating accusations against Kehlani started after PND shared a picture of them together in bed. "After all her shenanigans, still got the R&B singer back in my bed," so he wrote. She was taken to hospital and placed on psychiatric hold following her suicide attempt.

The singer has since been back home. She canceled a scheduled performance at Pan-Afrikan concert while on the road to recovery. "Thank you for the love. everyone's fighting things people know nothing about. healthy, home, & with ppl who love me. thank you 4 all support. all God. Will b taking space," she wrote before cleaning up her Instagram.

Chris Brown, however, called Kehlani a liar. He believed her suicide was just a sympathy ploy. Many hit back at Breezy. Fellow stars like Tinashe, Zendaya Coleman, and Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei and Dinah Jane Hansen even cut ties with Breezy on social media following his harsh criticism.

In response, Chris Brown wrote, "Team Breezy, don't go ham on these little girls. Notice that I'm not the one asking to get on anyone's record, this is them thinking they are standing up for something. I'm not in a group nor will I be concerned this much with an opinion."

"I've run through the mud and took it like a man. I don't care if celebrities don't like what it is. They don't like me anyway because they have to be second. You don't open the door for me, I kick it down. So Team Breezy, let's not be petty with these children. There's difference between career and life. Y'all are made into figures. I was born Chris Brown."
