Blake Shelton sings about his new girlfriend Gwen Stefani on his current single, "Came Here to Forget". However, he sets his eyes on another woman in the song's official music video that came out on Tuesday, March 29.
In the black-and-white clip, the country superstar hits a beachside bar and drinks alone before the girl comes. He starts a conversation with her and watches her as she dances in the crowd, frolicks on the beach and strikes seductive poses in front of the camera.
Written by Craig Wiseman and Deric Ruttan, "Came Here to Forget" was inspired by Shelton's highly-publicized relationship with Gwen, whom he started dating following his equally highly-publicized divorce from Miranda Lambert last year. Around the same time news about the split broke, Gwen announced her own break-up with Gavin Rossdale.
The track is the first single lifted off Shelton's upcoming 12th studio effort, "If I'm Honest". The album's scheduled to arrive on May 20 as a follow-up to "Bringing Back the Sunshine", which topped the Billboard 200 chart following its release in September 2014.
