Farrah Abraham opens up about her troubling childhood with her now-divorced parents. In an interview with Brandi Glanville's podcast "Brandi Glanville Unfiltered", Farrah is asked about her claims that Debra Danielson and Michael Abraham abused her when she was little. "That's some of the therapy that we share and we go through," she replies, "I think there's different parenting styles."
However, Farrah's relationship with her parents has really grown over the years. Debra and Michael often help babysit Farrah's 6-year-old daughter Sophia while the reality star is away on business. "My family and I have such a different dynamic now," she tells Brandi, "We've talked through a lot of our abuse."
"Not everyone's a perfect parent, but we do learn and we grow from that," the "Teen Mom" alum continues, "I'm not trying to be harsh on my family because it does make them sad to think back about how they used to be and some of their choices."
The "choices" Farrah refers to revolve around her allegations that her parents used to beat her with a belt, leaving bruises and welts all over her body. "At that time we really didn't [have a relationship] because of some of the abusive things that had happened," the "Teen Mom OG" star explains, "My parents got put into jail, both my mom and my dad."
