"The Voice" rounded out the Top 20 of season 9 as the Knockout Round came to an end on Monday, November 2. Fourteen singers remained but only eight spots were left on the Live Playoffs. Before narrowing down their teams to five each, the coaches pitted their singers in a battle of two.

First to perform were Adam Levine's proteges Shelby Brown and James Dupre. The former took on "Jesus, Take the Wheel", while the latter sang "Sure Be Cool If You Did". Shelby was clearly the winner and Adam made the obvious choice and completed his team.

Next, Pharrell Williams pitted Mark Hood against Siahna Im. Mark delivered a fun rendition of "Stand By Me" and Siahna, who performed "Back to Black", couldn't match his energy. Pharrell chose to keep Mark.

Gwen Stefani had to choose between Jeffery Austin and Kota Wade. Jeffery did Adele's "Turning Tables" which connected emotionally to him. Kota went with rock song "Barracuda" but her voice couldn't handle it. Gwen eventually declared Jeffery as the winner.

Emily Ann Roberts and Nadjah Nicole of Team Blake Shelton performed next. The former sang "Cowboy Take Me Away" and she successfully overcame her nervousness. Nadjah nailed a cover of "A Woman's Worth", making it difficult for Blake to choose. Blake chose to keep Emily Ann, predicting she would be on the radio "very soon."

Evan McKeel and Tim Atlas of Team Pharrell headed to the stage next. Evan performed "Dare You to Move", while Tim put his own spin on "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia. Pharrell sent Evan through to the next round.

The last stage went to Regina Love and Riley Biederer of Team Gwen. Regina chose "Midnight Train to Georgia" which was a perfect choice for her, while Riley showed off her amazing vocal with "XO" by Beyonce Knowles. Gwen made a difficult decision but she eventually chose to keep Regina.

Riley wasn't sent home though, as Pharrell used his steal to save Riley. She will join 19 other singers on the Live Playoffs.
