Not just one, but three characters die in gruesome manners in the first episode of the new horror-comedy anthology series from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan.

AceShowbiz - "Scream Queens" has quickly established itself as a bloody horror-comedy series when it debuted on Tuesday, September 22. Not just one, but three characters were killed off in the first episode and that included one key player.

The show introduced viewers to Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts), the president of the Kappa sorority whose seemingly perfect life was ruined when Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) ruled that Kappa had to accept any pledges looking to join the sorority. As the results, Kappa adopted a band of misfits including Grace Gardner (Skyler Samuels) and Hester (Lea Michele).

Trying to scare the new pledges, Chanel orchestrated a plan with house maid Ms. Bean. She would pretend to get mad at Ms. Bean and dunked her head into oil. The problem was the oil was actually hot and Ms. Bean was fried to death.

Grace wanted to contact the authorities, but she and her friends ended up helping Chanel dispose of the body in a freezer. Things got creepiers since then as the body disappeared.

A few minutes later, Chanel No. 2 (Ariana Grande) became another victim at the hand of a masked killer. She was stabbed in the head while trying to tweet about her attack. Another gruesome murder in the episode involved a new pledge whose head was mowed off by the serial killer.

Considering its gory scenes, it's no surprise that the Parents Television Council has named "Scream Queens" as the worst new show this fall. The group points out that due to its "graphic gore, sexual dialogue, and a deeply disturbing tone, ...this show's greatest shock is that it is on the public airwaves to begin with."

"Life in Pieces" and "Angel From Hell" are other shows that are named worst offenders by PTC. On the other hand, the group sings praise for "Supergirl", "The Grinder" and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend".

"Scream Queens" airs Tuesdays at 9 P.M. on FOX.
