Jon Stewart will keep himself busy after resigning from "The Daily Show". Less than two weeks after his farewell to the show that he had hosted for more than 16 years, the funnyman has landed his new gig. He is billed to host WWE's 2015 "SummerSlam". USA Today broke the news.
The annual "SummerSlam" will air live from Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Sunday, August 23 starting at 7 P.M. ET/4 PT and will last for four hours on WWE Network. It will be preceded by a pre-show starting at 6 P.M. ET.
The event has already had a star-studded line-up with WWE heavyweight champion Seth Rollins set to clash with U.S. champ John Cena. "Arrow" star Stephen Amell will be teaming up with Adrian Neville to face off against Cody Rhodes a.k.a. Stardust and Wade Barrett in a tag-team match, while Brock Lesnar will fight against The Undertaker.
Stewart has had a history with WWE before, appearing on USA's "Monday Night Raw" in March to answer a challenge launched by Rollins after Stewart taunted the WWE champion online.
