AceShowbiz - Robin Thicke has reunited with Nicki Minaj for a new collaboration. Six years after putting out their "Shakin' It for Daddy" from 2009's "Sex Therapy: The Session", the two stars returned with "Back Together" which was premiered on Wednesday night, August 5.
On the upbeat R&B jam, Thicke tries to woo back his ex who remains his No. 1 girl despite everything she's done to him. "Now all I wanna do is get, get you back/ Cause girl, you're still the best that I've ever had," he sings. "You used your love to tear me apart/ Now put me back together/ You put a bullet into my heart/ Now put me back together."
Minaj joined the 38-year-old crooner midway through the song. Her verse includes a line she borrows from boyfriend Meek Mill's "Level" from MMG's compilation set "Self Made Vol. 3".
"Back Together" will presumably be featured on Thicke's upcoming eight studio album. He announced the release of the track via Twitter on Wednesday while denying swirling reports that he's engaged to his 20-year-old girlfriend April Love Geary.
"Not engaged, but I do propose that you check out my new track with my girl @NickiMinaj #BackTogether," he wrote alongside a link to the song on iTunes.
