After dropping the F-bomb on Instagram, Daniels posted another video saying that he was just joking and he loves the Emmys.

AceShowbiz - Despite getting rave reviews and becoming one of new hit series, "Empire" didn't get nominated for Outstanding Drama Series for the 67th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, so it's quite understandable that co-creator Lee Daniels was a bit upset. In an Instagram video he filmed with star Jussie Smollett, he dropped the F-bomb to the Emmy voters.
"F**k these motherf***ers," said the Oscar-nominated filmmaker, despite Smollett's plea for him to be "nice." He also captioned the video with hashtags "#canfinallypostthis #timetoberealagain #emmyniceguyoverwith."
Several hours later, though, he posted another video saying that he wasn't serious with his earlier reaction to the Emmy snub. "I love the Emmys," so he claimed, "And I'm excited about my cast and crew that got nominated and for the other people that got nominated for Emmys."
While "Empire" wasn't mentioned in the best drama series category, its female lead Taraji P. Henson got nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series along with Claire Danes ("Homeland"), Viola Davis ("How to Get Away with Murder"), Tatiana Maslany ("Orphan Black"), Elisabeth Moss ("Mad Men") and Robin Wright ("House of Cards").
The winners will be announced in a ceremony set to be held on September 20 with "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Andy Samberg as the host. The event will air live on FOX.
